My nan really is not a fan of it at all. She never knows what to even call gay people so she usually ends up saying something highly offensive!

Having said that Joe is about 20 years her junior...

BIB, Charlotte really is clever as she's trying to play down how smart she is in that conversation with Rebecca by saying "I'm not that smart" which I strongly disagree with.

I don't think that Joe is homophobic personally, but he definitely has more against him and Charlotte for more than just being intelligent and that's the fact that they're some of the younger Housemates in the house I think and he resents that they're youthful in their look and he wants that for himself as his getting frustrated that he can't properly hang out with the popular clique because of his age, yet they're refusing to hang around the popular clique as much even though they are attractive, youthful people and Joe resents that about them.

Nah, Joe doesn't come off as homophobic. I think it's like others have said, he's just threatened that Raph is intelligent and isn't one of his sheep.

You do know it is okay for people to not see eye to eye and not get along without one or both of them targeting each other right?! Even in the real world this is common.
