Well not shorter, but that young people are getting taller.
I'm about 5 feet 10, and back when I was 18 that was a reasonable height for a man. Now 23 years on, I see young girls and women taller than me in the street. Something I never experienced when I was 18. Today I was out shopping in the high street and most of the young girls and women aged 15 to about 23 were taller than me. I did feel quite short. But that's happened down the decades. I remember going on a school trip to an old village and the top of the doorways were only about 5 feet 6. ![]()
