Big Brother 'still selecting final housemate line up' [No task/public vote on launch]
Big Brother will still be the ones in charge of who goes in on launch night, according to reports. Despite previous speculation, there won’t be any tasks or public votes on June 9 to select the final housemate line up, rather show bosses will have already selected those that enter.
Sources say that producers are still finalising exactly which of the hopeful housemates will enter in just under two weeks time. The wannabes will find out if they’ve been picked live on launch night.
Those that are chosen will then enter the house as per usual – with their VT played to viewers at home as they walk through the baying crowd and say goodbye to the outside world.
What this means is that the “twist” isn’t really much of a twist at all, this is the same process that has always happened, just behind closed doors. Last year it was reported that the 16 housemates were only told they’d actually be entering on the morning of the launch, with the other hopefuls told to collect their bags.
However show bosses are hoping that making the process live and increasing the tension on launch night will attract the extra viewers the show desperately needs.
Big Brother 11 returns to our screens on June 9 at 9PM on Channel 4.

So they're basically making what they've always done live, bit of a let down and all rather pointless
