Exactly Joey. I'm sick and tired of these shows trying to be different by throwing in these twists. The same thing happened with The X Factor when they threw one act from each category out in the first week.
I get that shows evolve, but sometimes I think they try and go for the shock factor and it doesn't always work.
Both shows use audience participation with the votes, but then it becomes annoying when the show dictates who stays or goes.
What I love about DOI is watching each contestant perform a routine, this week we were cut short of that. No sooner were you into a performance and the next act took over.
