& Ash & Winston breaking out the house - a bit hypocritical?
It wasn't so much to do with the fact that they broke out the house, but it was the punishment and how they reacted.
Helen said she doesn't need to give an apology and they were angry because it was 'a bit of fun' and whatever.
But because they did this they were put on rations, the hot water was turned off, electrical appliances turned off and the bedroom was out of bounds
What annoys me is Winston's reaction to it, laughing with his smug face, joking about it. Ash said it was funny and was joking too but at least he said he felt sorry for them.
My point is that Winston gave Marlon, his best friend, a hard time because he saved himself from eviction, and as a result putting the house on basic rations. At least, in a way, Marlon benefited from his actions as he was saved (only for a few days) and Winston's actions did nothing to benefit anyone.
Anyone agree? That it was a bit hypocritical of Winston (and Helen and Ash, in a way) for them to act like they have no reason to be sorry and laugh about it while he/they gave Marlon a hard time?
