The police will always investigate all angles and do not just take peoples word for things - they have to use evidence to save court time and innocent lives being ruined

There's a difference between waiting and seeing what the investigation serves up and outright doubting the victim based on nothing, that is what some people are doing in this thread.
The man was hospitalised, he has been injured so that in itself is proof that something happened, there's no evidence that he had made it up like some people are hinting at in this thread but there's definite evidence that he was attacked.
