Did you happen to watch the rest of the programme? Where people were phoning in and saying how much it had helped them? There was a woman in her 60s who phone in and said she’d finally had the confidence to come out to people as she’d watched Phil do it on national television.

****ing right he should do it and dominate the news - why should it be something that’s hidden and done in private as if it’s something to be ashamed of? The more people with that attitude, the more homophobia exists and that is never going to change if it isn’t addressed.
