Yeah I've never really thought about some of the technical aspects of Uncharted 3, although tbf I haven't played it in a long while so maybe it would be more apparent to me now.

I just remember finding the Game fun even if it lacked in originality.
For me with Uncharted 4 it was simple what my problem was, it was Sam's character as he was intrusive to Nate's character, and I found it a bit silly that we had never heard of Nate having a Brother until Uncharted 4.
I do agree with you that 2 & 1 are the best Uncharted Games imo.
And I 100% agree with everything that you've said on TLOU.
