Meghan hit with £178,000 legal bill after losing battle over book.

The Duchess of Sussex has lost another round in her legal battle with The Mail on Sunday after the newspaper won the right to use a recent book about her in its defence.

The duchess is suing the newspaper in the High Court over its publication of a “private and confidential” letter she sent to her estranged father.

A judge ruled yesterday that Associated Newspapers Ltd (ANL), publishers of The Mail on Sunday, could use Finding Freedom, a book about the duke and duchess published last month, as part of its argument that Meghan did not have a “reasonable expectation of privacy” with regard to her letter.

The judge ordered that Meghan pay ANL’s costs of £39,000 as well as her own costs of £139,000....

Ouch!
