No one is saying that looting and burning things is appropriate. The protests were largely peaceful, there was also a mix of maga folks/proud boys/white supremacists counter protesting, antagonising, killing, and proven events of infiltrating and causing the violence themselves which added intentional fuel to the fire. What do you think would have happened yesterday if antifa turned up with guns to stop the magas?

Again, you treat everything as though it isn't the consequence of what came before.
