Jussie Smollett is found guilty fake RACIST and homophobic attack
- Jussie Smollett was tried on six counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly lying to police in January 2019
- He was convicted of five of the six counts of disorderly conduct he faced, and could now spend up to 24 years behind bars
- The jury began deliberating on Wednesday - they are five white men, five white women, a black man and a Hispanic woman
- They were tasked with deciding if Smollett lied when he told three different cops that he'd been beaten and was the victim of a hate crime
- Smollett has maintained his innocence throughout, insisting he did not stage the attack as the Osundairo brothers claim
- The 39-year-old still says he was the victim of a beating and that he had nothing to do with orchestrating it
- The brothers claimed he'd set it up so they would rough him up but not hurt him severely
