Okay, so normally I never answer the door to people I don't know or am not expecting.
Today I was expecting a parcel pick-up, so when a young lady rang the doorbell and looked like she was the courier I answered the door.
She said she was collecting on behalf of an Irish charity and could I donate on a regular basis. I said, no because I was skint.
I then went on to say I could tell she was Irish because she was a good-looking lady and, indeed, she could have been a model. She had striking features.

I wouldn't normally talk like that, what with today and everyone being offended by the slightest thing.
But she rolled her eyes and walked off.

In my dad's day, ladies would acknowledge a compliment with a smile. Nowadays, paying a compliment to a lady means you're a pervert and offensive.
