BBQ/garden-parties in the affluent corners of Halewood (a town adjacent to Liverpool; basically is Liverpool as far as I’m concerned) in the summer is another one. Put a bit of Flo-Rida on and it gives off very distinct 2002/2009 vibes. Maybe after a day spent at Garston’s leisure-centre, swimming at the level of depth yo.-comfortable with and going down the water-slide until you get bored, recreating Cyprus from Merseyside/Knowsley. It’s very-much smile-worthy.
Aspirational, too, really, if you’re actually trying to buy a house that your cousin’s cosmetic/dermatologic surgeon dad was able to afford, cue the 90s/00s aesthetic (double-garage, bling-golden spring-hue, scented candles, red-brick clusters, subtle pine-scents, Auntie Tina’s supplementary maple-glazed cookies) that might-as-well be in DeKalb County suburbs around Atlanta. suburban aspirational aesthetics in a Liverpool-meets-Atlanta kind of way.
