Are monotheistic religions held to higher regard than polytheistic ones?

I think they get more respect because people think that 1 God is just 1 'imaginary friend' so to speak. Polytheistic Gods may seem to some like multiple 'imaginary friends' to make it more 'fun' if you get what I mean.

I dunno how to word it, that was the best I could do LOL
