Music fans have been scratching their heads over US rock band OK GO's new video - a hot contender for the most complicated promo ever made. The video shows an intricate two-storey Rube Goldberg machine in a Los Angeles warehouse that one bandmember starts off by pushing a red truck into a pile of dominoes. It ends with cannon shooting out paint on to the Chicago group. The clip, which is just under four minutes long, is filmed in one long take. It also involves a TV being smashed, colourful flags being set off, a lego car driving into a gate and a piano crashing to the ground. Directed by James Frost, OK Go and Syyn Labs, the video has delighted music fans. Twitter user minorjive posted:"AWESOMEST music video - ever. Who are these guys?" On Youtube, PetroBPettson wrote: "That is the best thing I have ever seen, music video or otherwise!" The song is taken from the album Of the Blue Colour of the Sky. OK Go found mainstream success after their video for Here It Goes Again - in whichband members jump and slide along four treadmills - was viewed nearly 50 million times on YouTube. METRO |
