...form feelings for the characters that makes you react in certain ways only to realise once again its fake.
Like in Eastenders I usually get upset and find myself thinking 'Oh its a shame he died I wonder if it was painful' and then think 'Oh wait he landed on a trampoline' And just yesterday I watched the Clash of The Titans and Spoiler: Threw the popcorn up in the air and was like 'OH NO ****!' And embarressed my friend. Its weird how involved you can get in these made up stuff and then you feel like an idiot afterwards. I suppose the acting plays a good part in it. I also think Soaps do this more than anything else, people spend years getting to know the characters and if somthing happens it does seem like someone close has died. Just look at the audience OTT Reaction when Danielle died in Eastenders.
