He won't be looked upon as kindly by the viewers as he is on internet forums.
I think his appeal for a lot of people, especially women, is similar to Rex. It's not necessarily his looks that make people think the sun shines out of his arse, but the sorts of charm offences he goes on after an argument. They see him for the sensitive, wonderful and complex person he likes to portray himself as during his 'Jekyll' phase and not the shallow, misogynistic narcissist he is as 'Mr. Hyde'. The latter is the real JJ.

No matter that they act like senile 12-year-olds on the Today programme website - smoking illegal fags to look tough and cool. No matter that Amis coins truly abominable terms like 'the age of horrorism' and when criticised tells people to 'fuck off'. Surely we all chuckle at the strenuous ennui of his salon drawl. Didn't he once accidentally sneer his face off?
