They did change everything. This is a fact. It's not for you to argue with. Also they were fantastic singers. Especially John Lennon. Listen to his song 'Mother' and then get back to me.

Besides, being a great musician extends far beyond having pitch perfect voice. It's about having a voice with character. You seem to think music's worth can be defined by how many notes a musician can hit. That's complete bollocks. Writing ones own material, playing ones own intruments and being inventive and creative in the studio all matter far, far more than 'having a lovely voice'.

Of course people are going to be defensive when what you are coming out with is wrong.
