Default Post count in Chat and Games forum

To answer the previous topic that was locked.

I don't think it is worth allowing post count in Chat and Games. It just encourages random spamming at the expense of constructive posts. And it wouldn't be very fair, or reflective of contribution to the forum, if some members got a huge post count in comparison to others just because they posted a lot in, say, a word association thread. It would be possible to get an artificially high post-count by posting in a thread like that.

On the subject of the difference between General Chat and Chat and Games - General Chat is for topics about a specific subject (that don't fit in other forums), Chat and Games is for random chat threads (eg. The Loft) and forum games - both of those type of threads generate a lot of posts.

A lot of Chat and Games threads could legitimately be posted in General Chat actually.
