I think praying is just a robot like reaction to the people who do believe in God. They really don't know what to do, there isn't anything they can do, so they pray, probably what they do in any crisis or faced with an atrocity like this. I don't suppose they even do know what they're praying for. Lots of people don't live in a world of reality they live in a world of faith, it opts them out of lots of things because their God makes all the decisions anyway. I'm not really criticising though, because having faith gives them strength and helps them get through bad stuff, different strokes...........and all that
