Rebeckah makes a classic error in trying to criticise evolutionary theory in saying evolution can not be true because there are still monkeys and the monkeys are not turning into people.
The answer is, that modern monkeys and chimpanzees that we see, according to evolutionary theory went down their own evolutionary path. What evolution teaches is that monkeys and humans have a common ancestor. There are other criticisms of evolutionary theory, but Rebeckah's question is not. BTW it was 6 days of creation not 7. God rested on the seventh according to the Genesis account
