People like people that have overcome challenges and lived to tell the tale

all these 'oh he only won because he was transgender'

people aren't just going to vote because of that are they. if they are genuinely nice people that have also overcome great challenges in their lives, people are drawn to that.

it means that they're strong people and people like that in a person.
