RIGGED PHONE CALLS - CBB bit on the side!!!
I am writing regarding an episode of 'Celebrity Big Brothers Bit On The Side' which was on television the evening of Saturday 18th August 2012. There is a segment in the show that takes live phone calls from members of the public. On Saturday, there were three phone calls and it was clear that not one of them was from any member of the public. It was clear to myself and others watching the show that these phone calls were rigged and were in fact actors or indeed members of the crew/production team. Even the people sitting at the 'phone desk' behind the presenter were clearly pretending to talk to people on the phone when there was in fact no one on the line! The first two phone calls requested that 'Jasmine' stay inside the house and not be voted out - clearly rigged to keep her in. After the calls were over the presenter encouraged everyone at home to keep phoning in with their views and opinions about CBB. It is outrageous to encourage the public to phone when there is no intention of actually taking any of their calls. The presenter was also clearly aware of this fiasco. In the light of recent controversies regarding phone calls from the public (Ant and Dec, the This Morning competition) one would think production companies would steer well away from this type of public con. The third phone call was from an individual who stated that Cheryl's face was like a 'slapped arse'. If this was from a member of the public then fair enough but again, it was clearly a huge set up. I don't think this soap celebrity would appreciate knowing that a member of the production team she is working for has set this up merely to sensationalise and keep viewers tuning in.
I encourage you to watch this particular episode, if possible. It is so obvious it is embarrassing. I believe this needs to be made public and put an end to. What else are they rigging and what's the bet that Jasmine does indeed stay in to keep up viewing figures?
