He shouldn't have been kicked out for it, but as Pyra says Christianity/religion is the very foundation of the scouting/cubs/beavers association, so they shouldn't have to change their view just like that, overall it does no harm. They also make it very clear that they are a religious organisation, so if you don't like it, don't go
That's not to say they're stupid for kicking him out though, I bet most of them don't have a clue what they're saying when they have to take all the vows when you go there
Just looks like a nothing story to bash Christianity/religion even more to me really
