I don't have Twitter or Facebook, but for those who do it is a good way to interact with Stars/Celebs you wouldn't get a chance to or even meet otherwise, so it's probably nice for both the stars and the fans

and a way of finding out what they are up to workwise first hand, and to dismiss any media stories that embellish stuff. I see no harm in it for those who enjoy the interactions
