Nope!..I don't agree Josy, the slap looked as though it probably did hurt to me.
Perhaps Carol slightly exaggerated the amount of pain ...but then..who doesn't?
The fact is that it is becoming a bit of a trend for 'Mr nice guy Mario' to be a bit heavy handed with his "playful-slaps" on the ladies isn't it?...am I remembering right, that he has already received a diary-room warning for doing this to Sophie last week?...Well from my initial liking of this lad [whom I had never heard of before]...I have turned full tilt and now am positive that I do not like the weasle!!...It's all well and good that he should be the 'crap-stirrer-in-chief' when he see's an opportunity to influence nominations against Bruce by slagging him off to anybody that will listen [behind his back of course!] and making a big show of how mad Bruce makes him by talking gruffly to Lauren when she was acting like a tit!, and being none too pleased when he found that Sophie and Courtney had brought further punishment on the whole house needlessly...but then we are supposed to accept that it's ok for him to physically assault the females in the house, [so long as he does it with a smile on his face!?]
...And then when the lady in question just happens to comment that it was "a bit too hard for horseplay"...does he show any remorse at all?...NO!..he then in fact proceeds to slag her off about it!!...[once again...behind her back of course!]

...in short...Mario has gone from being "a nice lad" to "A Knobhead" in a matter of 10 days or so in my mind!
