Two Months ago I gave up alcohol. I had my last drink on 22nd February.
'Gave it up' for Lent to see if I could. I had a bottle of wine unopened in the fridge. It's still there. I thought I'd struggle to last a week, tbqh, but (due to life stuff I've had going on) I've also recently taken up meditation and listening to relaxation music - I've not started braiding my hair and listening to Bob Dylan lol I've no desire to become a hippychick, but it's really been good for me. I had one evening of craving a drink, about 12 days in, and fully intended to crack open the bottle but went out for a walk, and talked myself out of it.

since then I've not been tempted, feel better physically for it as well.
I won't tempt fate by saying I'll never drink again, but that is my current mindset and in the words of the engine who could (it's a book) ..... I think I can (do it)
