I agree, people can betray obviously racist attitudes and other bigoted attitudes (our own government, for example?) without using any of the "naughty words" and it goes unmentioned, but if someone happens to let slip a "buzz word" without actually displaying any racist or discriminatory attitude it's jumped on in seconds.

I'm not saying he isn't an idiot. I just can't abide double standards, or people not bothering to look more than a millimetre beneath the surface. There is racism and other forms of discrimination to be tackled. It generally doesn't come in the form of people "using the N word OMG OMG OMG OMG". Its much more sinister than that, and people are blinded by this sort of tabloid trash.
