Lauren Goodger has seemingly become the latest Celebrity Big Brother housemate to be allowed outside contact after a new edition of her magazine column was published.
This week’s issue of New! Magazine contains an article that appears to have been created by Lauren within the house.
One extract reads: “Speaking in the Diary Room is terrifying! I think I was a little bit tipsy the first time I went in there. Because I know the camera is there, I get nervous, but as I’m goes on I’m sure I’ll get more confident.”
Another segment sees the former The Only Way Is Essex star sizing up the make housemates, saying: “Ricci’s lovely, but he’s not my usual type. I’d have to fight him for the mirror and hair straighteners, bless him!”
This suggests that bosses have granted Lauren contact with the outside world so she could file her column, although Channel 5 has yet to comment.
If this is the case, the 27-year-old will be the fourth housemate in as many series of Celebrity Big Brother to be given special allowances for work commitments, breaking the show’s iconic ‘no contact with the outside world’ rule that is now all but dead in the UK.
A similar situation occurred during the previous series in January, when bosses confirmed that Sam Faiers met an OK! Magazine journalist in the house so she could write a column.
CBB12′s Mario Falcone was allowed out to obtain a Visa so he could film episodes of TOWIE abroad, while CBB11 saw Rylan Clark leave to rehearse for that year’s The X Factor tour.
New! and OK! are both overseen by Richard Desmond, the outgoing owner of Channel 5.
