She did the right thing in walking away from him because she heard what he said, had she stayed there would have been a full blown argument. Now had Keith not followed and demand to know why she did it, the argument wouldnt have happened. She was annoyed and was standing up for Kav who everyone was being sarcastic about.

It is good that he has shown some of his temper because he has been deemed boring by the public and the HMs, although he comes across as a very nice person. I personally cannot see why he cant leave it alone that Kav told him to f off. I have no illusions that in his youth Keith was a tough cookie with the same passion as Kav. Anyway they have both made it up so perhaps KP will halt the turning of the spoon. I personally think that Keith has anger problems and this is why he tries to control it, fair does.
