Default Changes you would make to Big Brother on Channel 5?

First and foremost, I would make a better website built around the 24/7 live coverage. Ideally there would be 4 feeds, but 2 may prove to be sufficient. A special third (or fifth) feed should be a diary room feed to watch live nominations. For the show to improve in the this age of 24/7 social media, it needs to be faster paced, more immediate and more interactive. Unfortunately they have gone in the opposite direction and made things slower, more difficult to keep up with and pushed the viewer further and further away.

I would like a return to tasks that actually challenge the housemates and reveal something about their characters rather than tasks that are all about either creating drama or humiliating them. Combining challenging tasks with entertainment value requires a far greater level of creativity and it would earn the production team far more kudos.

I would like more memorable, strong, individual characters. Some people seem to like this group this year, but it seems like absurd casting to me. The lads are looked at by the more mature women as little brothers they're proud of rather than equals. And why wouldn't they be? Christian, Nick and Joel are all about 20, Aaron is mentally about 10 and Jack seems younger than he is as well. Most of the females are in their mid-20s and we all know they tend to grow up faster than boys. It creates a very strange dynamic that makes no sense to me. They were much better at getting the mix right in earlier series such as the third, fifth and even the ninth.

I would also like genuinely controversial housemates that reflect what is going on in the surrounding culture. If there is a rise in nationalism of some sort, then get a nationalist who is intelligent and articulate in there and others who are able to debate reasonably with that person.

Another change that I feel needs to be made is how the HL show is edited. We no longer get conversations that tell us much about the housemates. Instead there is an over-reliance on contrived conflict and twists. We hardly ever see them talking about themselves, who they are, what their background is. If we do it is little more than a setup for some goofy facial expression or funny comment after 30 seconds. Longer scenes which give us a better sense of the people we are watching would create a much more interesting show.

Those are some of my ideas, with the first idea being the most important. Please add some of your own.
