Any kind of format with clear rules would be nice.
The boat was missed really with HoH - they introduced it in BB9 and it worked quite well, adapted to exist alongside our rules. They then kept it for the first week of the following Celeb BB (and added a HoH room) and it was building quite nicely and they could have used that series to really test it, but despite the celebs and fans speculating on who would be the next HoH and how it might affect things producers stupidly dropped it without a trace.
Although the eviction voting doesn't bring in the money anymore (C4 said towards the end of their run it actually lost them money) and although I think even the fans are more disconnected from the voting process than ever I don't think BBUK is quite ready to ditch the public vote. The Brazilian hybrid format though could really work for the UK - basically HoH nominates one person, other HMs nominate a second and viewers evict.
BBUK could just go their own way too if they'd just settle on a clear weekly format. It doesn't have to be a HoH but a killer nomination, like in the last week of Celeb BB, would work well alongside a regular nomination process (two with most votes up). Indeed I think it would be more interesting if each week there was a task and the winner had a choice - they could either have immunity or a killer nomination.
