Context is always needed, it's never quite as black and white as many make out. As i said in my above post, although i can't recollect all that much from that series i do vaguely remember Danielle being extremely naive and being for the majority of time more of a follower in that whole incident as opposed to an instigator. In fact, only last night i watched the first 15 mins or so of a show that Danielle was on where she admitted that she was never fully accepted by girls at a young age, that in itself would offer one possible explanation as to why she did not deter from that group even after all the bullying towards Shilpa. Not saying it is, but i guess it's possible considering she is a person that seeks acceptance.

If she were to behave the same way again then it would be reasonable to come to the conclusion that nothing has changed and that she'd behave the same way again in the future. But if you only judge people by their past then that suggests that people are stagnant, which more often than not is not the case. People change, still calling her scum for an incident that happened a decade ago is a tad harsh.

I could be wrong but for me she was young and naive, she made innocent comments without consciously understanding their full impact, she was wrong but it happens. For example you comparing her to an STI or Cancer is pretty extreme, if you made those comments in the house i'm sure there would be a ton of posts on here in apparent outrage, criticizing you for being inconsiderate towards others etc. ****ty comments are made innocently sometimes, doesn't necessarily make the person behind them a bad person.
