The NHS imo was never designed to be able to handle an ever increasing population.

I honestly think we have to consider how much longer we all live.
Being elderly in itself brings its own problems, bones break easier, more arthritis, more respiratory illnesses, hearts and other organs getting worn out.
So, as much as I can't stand Tim Farron, I think he is on to something when he suggests 1% tax rise across the board, as long as it is specifically goes to health and social care.
