While $20,000 per month is substantial, as a percentage of her earnings it's chicken feed. This is financial support for her kids, not a voluntary contribution. She has no right at all to account for the money once it's given to the father, it ceases to be "her money". But hey, that's the kind of "mother" she is. If he's looking after the kids while she's free to follow her career, she should be thanking him and paying up.
If we were talking about a male pop star and a female ex-dancer no longer the right age to follow that career, would people insist that she got a job?
