Unfortunately I'm reading that the real news is that it may be almost impossible to get them out and there's a risk even with just waiting.

Basically the choices are train these boys to dive through small, pitch black tunnels using rebreathers that take a tonne of training to use at all... a process which would literally take years to get them to the standard where there isn't a high risk of drowning on the way out.

Or they can wait for the floodwaters to subside. Best case scenario it takes months and then they can simply walk out. Worst case scenario, the floodwaters drain towards them and the area they're trapped in gets flooded and they drown right there.

It's a horrific situation, I can't imagine what it must be like for their families.
