EX EastEnders star Katie Jarvis is now working as a security guard at B&M Bargains after being axed as Hayley Slater.

The 28-year-old actress joined the BBC One soap last year for a short-lived stint as Kat Slater's cousin.



Despite playing a huge role in the 2018 Christmas storyline after having a baby with Kat's husband Alfie Moon, she mysteriously left Walford in February.

Her exit was confirmed two months later, and now she's working the doors at the East London shop.

The actress was spotted wearing the company's all-black uniform and a matching baseball cap as she carried out her security duties.

Katie confirmed to the Daily Star Sunday that her acting career has now taken a back seat as she focuses on her two children.



A source explained: "A lot of people have been wondering where Hayley is after she left so suddenly but the mystery has been solved, she’s in Romford working at B&M.

Her acting was terrible, hence getting the big EE Christmas storyline in her first year, Fish Tank holds a 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes and her performance was critically acclaimed.

She's paying her bills and looking after her kids between acting work.
