The suicidal thoughts were a result of her poor mental health, they are related. You can't sink that low when you are well.

I just think it's too simplistic to call someone in that much pain and turmoil selfish. And I think it would be hurtful to those close to a person who does commit suicide to hear someone call their loved one that

I found myself in a corner and felt as though I was being overpowered with everyone joining in to criticise.

There were a few who were calling for the program to be axed that never watched Love Island nor contributed to the Winter Love Island thread . .. I thought that was unfair

To be honest if some wants to call her selfish they can because that’s their opinion of someone who takes their own life.

We may not agree with what they are saying but they are allowed to say it.

Suicide goes against the natural human instinct to survive, and someone must be a bad place to do.

But let’s not forget those that are left behind trying to come to terms with a death of this kind.

People are allowed to disagree with you, if you say something that a lot of people disagree with then it's within their right to say so.

You made out that this place only allows a certain kind of opinion but that's exactly what you are doing here, denouncing any views you dislike as nothing more than mob mentality.

I used to think suicide was selfish but then I grew up and understood it better.

Suicide is neither brave nor selfish, it's sad and tragic and nothing more. Let's not romanticise the act nor demonise the people who go through with it as weak, shall we?

I can only offer my sympathy. Two separate families both of their sons killed them selves with out warning one by hanging,his brother found him and one with his dads shot gun, his mum found him.

It’s traumatic to anyone that finds a body....but they don’t think that far ahead. She found a window of time and did it. Someone has to find them. I would say her friends and family were aware she was suicidal (only by reading today that she warned the police)...hence why a friend was staying with her.
Someone very close left a note on her back door not to enter call 999...but it’s not always that well thought out. Yes their is a selfish element to a degree but imagine what place you must be in to do such a thing...
