the number of things i did as a kid without a care in the world

I remember once getting a screwdriver out to investigate how the record player worked, hit a live wire and was thrown several feet across the room from the electric shock .... crazy ****er

At least it was a valid curiosity. When I was about 8 or 9, on complete random impulse, I snipped through the wire of the lamp in my room for giggles. I have no idea how I got away with that one - there was a massive blue spark and it actually made a hole in the metal of the scissors but I didn't actually get a shock. They were full metal scissors too, no plastic handle. I assume my feet were insulated or something .
