Just wondering about Covid 19 ..

Do they know why 33% test positive but show ZERO symptoms yet ??

Are there any other diseases that do that ?

Yes a large number of asymptomatic carriers is normal for any virus - we just wouldn't normally know about them because there isn't periodic testing like there is with Covid.

The short answer is differences in immune response. The reasons for that could be either genetic or environmental - there's some anecdotal evidence for both with Covid. That doesn't necessarily mean those people have overall "better" immune systems per se, just that they have immune systems that are, for whatever reason, better geared towards Covid.

The answers to these things are still semi-mysteries in immunology I believe, when they're solved it'll probably lead to a huge leap forward in medical science.

I missed what paper it was in but the number of patients going into ICU with covid is now down to a handful

My 90 plus neighbour is still in hospital, fully recovered from covid but waiting on an OT assessment, over a week now, how many more in the hospital numbers are in this situation

It was due yesterday
but the PM delayed the plan without a valid reason.

Of course Worldwide
the Pandemic has caused delays in everything
as money is not there.

Been to see 2 care homes with me old mum this week and both times we have
just arrived at an arranged time and had a look around the place and not had
to provide a LFT. Then when you sit down and ask a few questions and ask
about visiting they both said in solemn tones "oh yes visitors must provide a
LFT on arrival that has been done in last hour on in the waiting room. "

I'd say that only accounts for maybe 1/4 of it.

The number of people in hospital 'with covid' as opposed to 'from covid' has been steadily growing for some time, think a couple of weeks ago about half of hospital admissions were with covid rather than from and that is probably true of deaths as well
