They have him for a longer period to collect evidence. Pretty hard to look through mountains of internet evidence in his house, if they let him go back to his house to try and hide any evidence. People being held without charge is not abnormal, especially in complicated cases spanning across Europe.

they are a flight risk, and its perfectly normal for them to be detained until charged. The police have been given extra time by a court to investigate. Again, that is a very normal process. The same happens here in the UK all the time

He's accused of "lover boy" style sex trafficking/grooming/exploitation, there's never been any suggestion that he had women locked up or in chains. The chains are psychological. Depends on is he had an easy ride while he was locked up or not. He's not actually a "hard man", he's a poser, if he had a rough ride and he gets out I think he'll quietly slink away as he won't want to risk going back.

If he was treated with kid gloves then yes... it'll be worse than ever if he isn't successfully convicted.
