i agree with the op, and it is 50 years since i went and picked up my copy from "Listen" records on release day

Another one that i would say had a big impact at the beginning of the age of CD was Dire Straits, Brothers in Arms



Interesting fact. The song was about the Falklands war and Lieutenant Colonel Herbert Jones who single handed picked up a machine gun and charged at the enemy resulting in the UK winning the battle and subsequently the war. Unfortunately, he died in the process
