Okay, I've added extra options so you can turn all the alerts and notifications off should you want to.

On Desktop browser -

Go to User CP (top-left of screen) - Settings under User Tagging (at the bottom-left).

Then you can select 'Hide Mention Alerts' and 'Hide Quote Alerts' to turn of the PM-style notifications on the forum. You can also 'Disable Mention Emails' and 'Disable Desktop Notifications'.



On Mobile browser -

Go to Site Navigation (with the 3 horizontal bars), then User CP, then scroll down to the bottom and press Settings under User Tagging.




And select the same options above.

Some of us posters
do not need a notification
it slows me down.


I have many Feeds going
Like Live USA TV with subtitles online
on a 30" 4K LG screen.

And Another Computer
with other USA Feeds - another screen

So a tick option on the User CP
is best.


Subtitles are the key
So your Live TV news can have sound
while you read the subtitles on the other feeds


Also our UK TVNews Feed
CNN HD now has subtitles

Bloomberg HD On UK TV News
now has also has Subtitles

I might have to turn off the e-mail notifications, or at least make it so that people have to opt-in to that.

It is misusing it a bit to use the mentions to summon back members who don't visit anymore.

…yeah, I do agree that it’s an unnecessary misuse and having to opt in/otherwise not getting any notification, seems like a good plan…
