I really am starting to like Marcello...especially with the Segun thing last night..I started to think he could get to the final. The Lily thing did have me thinking he really doesn't need to be doing that.
However, because she behaves like a child she gets treated like a child...by pretty much all of them. I mean Ali is a lesbian and she is cuddling and stroking Lily's hair all the time...no one says a word about that..whats the difference
He did comfort her after she heard the chants and offered to cook her a pizza...stroking her hair when she's drunk..it is how you would treat a child. I really wish they wouldn't but maybe that's just what he was doing.

Great points, rusticgal. My reading of it was the same - stroking the hair seemed like a soothing gesture you’d make towards a child, and it doesn’t seem unusual for housemates to do that.

If I felt his behaviour was concerning, I would, as I have previously, call it out, but that’s not my perception of this situation.

Yeah they should all stop treating Lily as a child,but as mentioned on L& L if she acts like a child.... she's going to get treated as one . It's interesting how it's only seen as " creepy" when Marcello does it though . I swear the guy could be doing press ups in the garden,and still be called a weirdo.

Emma is teasing Nathan and BP because she can see right through their BS, did you notice her comment when BP was screeching during the phonecall,...'that's your girlfriend' with a bit of a smirk and a side eye, Nathan was totally speechless

…yeah, this is what I mean with…I kind of to and fro with her, her absorbtion in Fake Potato romance has been quite s lot at times but she also seems to have a good take on stuff…/…not just her assessment of things but the humour in which she can deliver also…she’s not a favourite atm as such…well, not over some others …but I definitely don’t dislike her either….

…so far as the thread topic and Marcello and Lily …it wasn't so much as any actions on their own for me …it was also that she was very drunk and that had been commented through the evening before the phone calls …and I’m also considering a few other of his actions in the house as well and interactions with …like the hand in throat action, which we’ve talked about…and also his anger with Sarah and his dismissing of her when he didn’t want to speak to her…with Marcello, every time that I warm to him, there is something that I think…hmmmm, no…and I certainly don’t think he’s one dimensional or that any of the housemates are…they all have likeable aspects of their characters and some have aspects that aren’t so much a good look as well and I think we all realise that…I’m glad that Ali called time out anyway because I think in that moment, it was the right call…
