If it helps sweeten the deal, the torture scenes don't feature nearly as much beyond the first 2-3 episodes iirc. And in total fairness, the uncompromising brutality of those scenes really do make it all the more joyous when the lead character not only brings down her tormenters later on, but also rediscovers her humanity bit by bit and learns to let people in again. But yeah, even for someone like me who has a strong constitution for graphic violence in film/tv, the scenes involving that implement made me feel a tad squeamish. It was heartbreaking at times. My friend has introduced me to a few k-dramas recently, e.g., Moving, All of Us Are Dead, The Light Shop (Korea is a huge fascination for her). But The Glory has proven to be the most immediately addictive for me.
