Yes women are often involved in the "luring/recruiting" process - less often that there's a sexual motivation, sometimes it's coercion and manipulation from a partner. Sometimes it's just for personal gain (money). TBH looking at the Glasgow gang pictures I wouldn't be surprised if the same ring was also dealing, and the payment was free drugs.
