It's a bit concerning we still dont know who was on board. How many more planes are flying in and out of the UK without the authorities knowing who's on board.

…a second name has been released…

Dr Eyl, 46, is believed to be from the Kleinmaischeid municipality in Germany.

A social media tribute describes him as "a doctor, companion and friend". It goes on: "With his warm, honest, and humorous nature, he has not only provided medical assistance, but shaped our community. He was a man who listened, tackled and encouraged. Exactly when it came down to it. His commitment was not taken for granted, his loss is immeasurable.”

it is weird though that this aircraft has two flights without problems, from Athens to Pula, from Pula to London

what was so different about this fatal flight then?

RIP ...his last act was to deliver his patient and I would imagine the end was swift

The aircraft flew five legs in two days: Lelystad → Memmingen → Athens → Pula → Southend → (intended) Lelystad

That’s over 10 hours of flight time in just 48 hours, not counting pre/post-flight duties.

5.775 KG, slightly above the max takeoff weight of 5.670 KG

not ideal, but nothing disastrous since you can compensate with different flap settings, like flaps 30?

or were these pilots unaware they were too heavy, since pilots in general sometimes rely on estimates, rather than precise figures

Small planes are very dangerous and maintenance is not always the best it can be. Just look at that french footballer that crashed on his way to cardiff a few years ago

The plane was 31 years old but considered reliable and well-maintained

if it is mechanical failure, then why did the previous two flights that same day go smoothly?

Quote:
The pilots of Zeusch Aviation Flight 1 were Captain Danny Marco Franken and First Officer Floris Christiaan Rhee
Danny Franken, aged 53, had also flown for KLM and was known for his experience and dedication

Floris Rhee, just 24, had joined Zeusch Aviation less than a year prior and was admired for his enthusiasm and professionalism

https://zeusch.com/holding_statement/

professionalism hmmmm, i mean we know they broke the sterile cockpit rule, by waving at people before takeoff

my money is on a weight imbalance issue

i did some maths, two scenarios

scenario 1 (with near empty oxygen tanks) 6.200kg

scenario 2 (with full oxygen tanks) 6.280kg

but both scenarios the plane would've been overweight at takeoff, maximum takeoff weight for this aircraft is 5.670kg

not entirely unusual, but certainly not ideal, and how to compensate for this, you require more runway to cover before taking off, otherwise if you take off too soon the angle might be too steep, and you might stall, which is something what could've happened

you know this plane had a full fuel load, hence the huge fireball we saw

the question more is why did these pilots not use up more runway at takeoff, when they likely were aware of them being more overweight

with two previous flights for these guys, which went without problems
