Yes as protective style. Heat styling Afro hair all the time can cause heat damage so it's easier and more convenient to wear wigs. Nicky Minaj is another good example. Hip length real hair but wears wigs

Of ALL the people they could have chosen, why pick Farida?? Seems there's a strong "inclusivity" element involved, supposedly offset by her broad brummie accent. She'll always be a horror whatever her background/antecedent.
