But don't forget about show costs, those have to be covered by advertisement fees so it doesn't automatically mean greater profit. So C4 could have a show that gets 2m viewers, costs £100,000 per hour but gets £500,000 in advertising fees, thats a profit of £400,000, compared to a show that gets 3m viewers, costs £400,000 per hour and gets £600,000 in advertising fees, but thats only £200,000 profit. They'd go for the show with 2m viewers.

usually throughout the year it costs about 60mill to cover everything in the show from rebuilding house to food and cameras etc

All I'm saying is shows with higher ratings aren't guaranteed to make more profit, due to the cost of the show
