I don't think a real debate with Stephen is possible. The chap like 'some' born again Christians is using Christianity in a warped way to survive his own addictive personality. He is simply unable to see any other way.

In a way he is still an addict, he just 'simply' and I say simply literally, using religion in a typically bastardised way as to keep himself on the straight and narrow. The fella is still addicted and has no understanding of the nature of his own addictive nature.

Religion + addict + simple = Born again victim / Christian.

I agree. Not sure if you are suggesting that religion can be an addiction....In my view religion can be nothing else but an addiction of the mind accepting the ridiculous.....
